Area Motorsport MQB Brake Duct Kit 
Fits Golf MK7, Golf MK8, Cupra 5F, AUDI All Models, Skoda All Models

Our Brake Duct Kit was developed due to the common issue of brake temperatures on the MQB Platform. Whilst some other kits were available on the market none of them really solve the problem with a quality solution that will have a positive impact on brake cooling. 

The kit was developed to accept the largest hose possible in the space allowed utilising 63mm 2Ply Silicone Ducting.

The backing plates are made from lightweight aluminium and enclose the backside of the disc to ensure all airflow passes through the disc. The backing plates also taper down to protect the ball joint from brake heat. 

The duct itself is constructed of carbon filament (PEtgCF) and has vanes to channel the air into the direction of the duct. This ensures there isn't any turbulence around the opening for the ducting hose and ensures clean smooth airflow. 

The duct allows over 35 cubic meters of air to pass through it over a 1 minute period travelling at an average of 80MPH. 

The largest issues with brake duct kits is the routing of the hose along with the hose rubbing on body parts. We ensured this wouldn't be a issue with a bracket that mounts to the HEX on the outer track rod end to guide the ducting hose and ensure it doesn't taper towards the CV Boot / Driveshaft when on lock.  

Testing
We tested the kit on the road for 2 weeks on our own MK8 Clubsport and then a customer of ours used the kit on his MK8 Clubsport Race Car throughout a race weekend. We had 0 issues with the kit in either tests and furthermore we saw a reduction of over 80 Degrees in a racing environment when one duct was blanked and the other side open. This temperature was monitored at the Caliper too which is the opposite side of the ducting proving the kit works extremely well.

YOU MAY NEED ADJUSTABLE DROP LINKS TO LOWER THE ARB DOWN TO THE LOWER CONTROL ARM FOR HOSE CLEARANCE.
