How it works: When the vehicle is lowered, the steering rack is closer to the ground and the angle of the tie rods is at an exaggerated angle. This changes the arc of the tie rod inducing toe-in during compression and toe-out during rebound. This fast temporary change in alignment and a loss of traction causing that unsettling feeling which is bump-steer. Effectively raising the steering rack corrects the angle and arc of the tie rod and reduces bump-steer.
